Laughter has many benefits for our mental health and impacts both short-term and long term mood and overall well-being. Laughter reduces the stress hormones called cortisol. It boosts mood by releasing endorphins, the body’s natural “feel good” chemicals. These chemicals improve mood and promote feelings of happiness.
Feeling down, feeling sad? Find a ridiculously funny comedy show or movie to watch. Look up and read funny jokes. Just start laughing; you will laugh because you’re laughing! Go ahead give it a try!
